The UNM Santa Fe Bachelor & Graduate Program is excited to announce a group exhibit of artwork by UNM Art and Art History students. The students have displayed artwork, both drawings and paintings, created for the exhibition in the BFA-Studio program offered through UNM on the SFCC campus. Participants in this show include: Barbara Bloomberg, Martha Cooke, Beryl Markowitz, Bethany Stephens, Katherine Forrest, Karin Hall, Scott Shuker, David Warren, and Joanne Speicher. The show will be on display until August 16.

The Women’s Resource Center offers “Traditional Medicine without Borders: Curanderismo in the Southwest and Mexico,” a two-week course about customary medical techniques and practices. The instructors, Eliseo “Cheo” Torres and Arturo Ornelas, are healers and health practitioners who will lecture on the history of Curanderismo, the practice of Mexican folk healing, and how this convention has been incorporated into various modern-day traditional and holistic techniques. Students and community members can take the course for credit through UNM or Continuing Education. The class is offered through the UNM registrar as Women Studies 379, section 010; Anthropology 340, section 10; Latin American Studies 593, section 10; and Chicano Studies 393, section 10.
